The Institut für Eignungsprüfung accomplishes, on behalf of international accreditation
systems Europe-wide Proficiency Tests for mechanical-technological examinations.
The use of Proviciency Tests in the context of the investigation of laboratories
to the accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2000 is regarded in this
standard to ensure the quality of test and calibration results.
In the field "mechanical-technological testing" are offered at present only to small
amount of Proviciency Tests. Special programs are missing, in order to ensure and
monitor, and if necessary to improve the test quality.
The Institut für Eignungsprüfung guaranties the professional conception and accomplishment
bilateral and multilateral Proficiency Tests. The evaluation of the results is made
on the base of certified reference values or the consensus values determined from
the results of the participants.
At each accomplished Proficiency Tests, provided by the Institut für Eignungsprüfung, more than 100 laboratories from over 25 european countries participated.
